What the Shopify template does
The seller does not need to understand EXIF, IPTC or XMP. The template turns simple Shopify information into useful image metadata.
1. Adds product context
Uses product type, materials, price point and target customer to create descriptive image titles and SEO-ready descriptions.
2. Adds store ownership
Writes your store name, brand, and copyright notice into every product image file before it enters Shopify Media.
3. Cleans sensitive data
Strips GPS coordinates and camera data from product photos taken at home or in the studio before you publish them online.

Three steps to optimized product photos
No technical knowledge needed. You fill in what you already know about your store — ExifInjector handles the rest.
01
Drop your product photos
Drag and drop up to 50 product photos at once. Works with JPEG, PNG and WebP — the formats Shopify accepts.
02
Fill in your store details
Enter your store name, product category, main keywords and language once. The template applies them across the whole batch.
03
Download and upload to Shopify
Export a ZIP of tagged photos with titles, descriptions, keywords and copyright embedded. Upload directly to Shopify product pages.

What happens after you add metadata to product photos
Sellers who embed titles, keywords and copyright into their Shopify photos before uploading consistently report more Google Images traffic and less time spent preparing each batch.

"Shopify doesn't touch the file metadata at all. Once I added product titles, keywords and my brand copyright to every photo, Google started surfacing my serums and oils in image searches I had never appeared in before."

FAQ
Do I need to install a Shopify app?
No. ExifInjector runs in the browser before you upload. Process your product photos, download the optimized files, then upload them to your Shopify product pages as you normally would.
Will this affect my Shopify store speed?
No. The metadata is written into the image file itself, not into your Shopify theme or storefront code. Page speed is unaffected.
Can I process photos for multiple products at once?
Yes. Drop a whole product batch into ExifInjector, add your store details once, generate metadata for every photo, then download a single ZIP ready to upload.
